The launch at Timberneck Creek is still an active working waterfront, with local commercial fishing vessels docked and operating from the large Gloucester County owned and maintained dock. Timberneck Creek leads to the York River, with the beautiful Catlett Islands found at their confluence. Just north of the Creek is a historic plantation property, soon to be part of the newest State Park in the Commonwealth.
This brackish water area is somewhat sensitive to windy conditions, but traveling upstream into the narrow portions of the Creek gives us the option to stay in calm conditions. This tour is 2.5-3 hours, $55 per adult, and $30 for children twelve and under in a tandem with an adult.
