deadrise boat photoJust inland from where the Poropotank River meets the York River with the Poropotank and Morris Bays, we can explore low-lying marshlands and coastal forests. The maze-like marsh area is unique here, and particularly at high tides the meandering tidal creeks offer chances to Group paddle on Poropotank River see muskrat and river otter that call this area home.

Closer to the bay there are various nests from large birds of prey, offering great opportunities to watch them fishing and raising their young! This tour takes about 3 hours, costs $55 per adult and $30 per child, and is fairly sheltered from wind. The launch location is only 15 minutes from the historic Gloucester Courthouse area.
